Chennai, Apr 13:
There is some relief for businesses across Tamil Nadu as Indian Oil Corporation Limited has increased the supply of commercial LPG, raising the quota to 70% of original levels with immediate effect.
IOCL Chairman A. S. Sahney said the decision was taken after reviewing the fuel situation in the State. He assured that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or aviation fuel, with refineries operating at near full capacity.
He emphasised that domestic LPG supply remains the top priority. Oil companies are currently meeting the entire daily demand in Tamil Nadu, estimated at around five lakh cylinders.
The increase in commercial LPG supply is expected to ease pressure on hotels, restaurants and other businesses dependent on gas, while households are likely to continue receiving uninterrupted supply.
