Raipur. International Yoga Day will be celebrated in Chhattisgarh on June 21. Programs of International Yoga Day will be organized in the cities and villages of the state. Through this the message of ‘Har Ghar Aangan Yoga’ will be promoted. According to the information received from Chhattisgarh Yoga-Aayog Chairman Mr. Gyanesh Sharma, mass yoga sessions will be organized at prominent places in cities and villages with maximum participation of public representatives and citizens. Arrangements will be made for display of Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) to celebrate International Yoga Day 2023 at public places. Along with this, yoga programs will also be organized in important places of Anganwadi and old age homes, public undertakings, all government departments.
Training programs will be organized for the celebration of International Yoga Day and wide publicity will be done for public awareness regarding Yoga. Banners of International Day of Yoga will be displayed at public institutions like hospitals, health and wellness centers, police stations, bus stations, and in panchayats, municipalities, municipal corporations, etc. Pankaj Verma, Additional Director of Directorate of Social Welfare, Chhattisgarh, has been appointed as the nodal officer for the necessary preparations, training program, necessary coordination and implementation by various departments, institutions, bodies of the state government and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, for organizing the International Day of Yoga by the state government.
