Instagram bio can now contain up to five links

San Francisco (IANS) | Meta-owned Instagram has announced a new feature that will allow users to add up to five links to their profile bios.

“This feature has been a top request among creators,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the new feature in a post on his Instagram channel on Tuesday, The Verge reports.

With the new feature, users can now add links by editing their profile in the mobile app, where they can title them and rearrange how they appear.

According to the report, however, if a user adds more than one link to their profile, visitors will have to click through the message saying ‘(your first link) and 1 more’ to see the full list of links.

This means that if a user has more than one link to display on their Instagram profile or is already using a ‘link in bio’ service like Linktree, people will have to click additional links to see their links. Click on time.

Meanwhile, Instagram has announced new features on its short-video making app to empower creators.

The social network has added a dedicated destination for trending audio and hashtags, two new metrics for Reels Insights, and brought gifts to Reels in more countries.

Creators will now be able to see what are the top trending topics and hashtags on Reels.
