Raigarh. Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel, on January 11, 2025, a meeting of village Kotwars was organized in all the police stations of the district and persons doing excellent work for the society were honoured. The objective of this program was to encourage positive works in the society and to strengthen the dialogue between the police and the citizens.
A special felicitation ceremony was organized by City Superintendent of Police Akash Shukla (IPS) and Police Station Incharge Prashant Rao Aher at Chakradharnagar police station. On this occasion, 10 meritorious students, teachers, social workers, nursing staff and Kotwars of the area were awarded certificates and mementos and their work was appreciated. City Superintendent of Police Mr. Shukla said that the contribution of these pillars of the society is inspirational in every field and the police department feels proud to encourage them.
Commendable initiatives were also taken in other police stations
Meetings of village Kotwars were also organised in police stations Dharamjaigarh, Gharghoda, Lalunga and Jute Mill. The station in-charges instructed the Kotwars to keep an eye on every activity in the village and inform the police on time. In these police stations, meritorious students, teachers, health workers, village Kotwars and Panchayat workers were honored with shawls, coconuts and certificates. During this, the station in-charges assured the villagers that the police will cooperate in their every positive effort. This event created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and inspiration in the society. The honored persons thanked the police department, calling it the result of their hard work. Parents and villagers also appreciated this initiative and called it a step to increase dialogue between society and police. Such programs will be organized by the district police in future as well, so that those doing excellent work in the society get recognition and encouragement. This initiative will not only strengthen community relations, but will also prove to be inspirational for the society.
