Innocent child falls into well, family in shock

Durg. In Durg district, a one year old child fell into a well while playing. Due to which he died due to drowning. When the family could not find him anywhere and found the slippers floating in the well, they came to know that he had drowned. The child’s body was taken out by jumping into the well. The incident took place in Girola village of Nandini police station area. The child’s uncle Chhathi Lal Pade told that his elder brother Sanjeet and sister-in-law Shobhita have three sons. All three children were playing near the house on Sunday morning. There is a well there. Suddenly one year old son Pritam was nowhere to be seen. When I asked his brothers, they too could not give any answer. After this, when the family members reached near the well while searching, they found Pritam’s slippers floating. The family members descended into the well and searched for the child.

His body was found from there. After information about the incident, police reached the spot. The child’s body was brought to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, Supela for post mortem. The family members are in a sad state due to the death of the child and are crying. Chhathi Lal told that they were covering the well of the house with an iron net. At the same time, he had opened the lid of the mesh to fill water, but forgot to cover it. Due to this carelessness, Pritam reached near the net, slipped and fell down and drowned. He told that his brother and his entire family work in brick making. A kiln is set up near the house. There is an old well in the house. They also take water from it to make bricks. At present the police is investigating further in the matter.
