Maholi/Sitapur. An innocent child died due to the negligence of doctors in a private hospital in Kotwali area. Earlier, when the child’s condition deteriorated, he was referred to another hospital. It is alleged that the doctor here declared him dead. The family members who returned to the hospital created a ruckus.
Seeing the worsening of the situation, the hospital operator fled from the spot. After the information, police reached the spot and started investigation. People associated with BSP also started gathering at the spot. The matter pertains to Arogya Health Care Hospital located near Badhaiya village of Kotwali area. The relatives of the deceased told that he was a resident of Jagannathpur village of Kotwali area. On Friday afternoon, Pankaj’s son Ramjeevan suddenly started vomiting and diarrhea.
Late in the evening, the family took Pankaj to Arogya Health Care Hospital located near Badhaiya village on Maholi-Badagaon road. When the people present here injected the child, his condition started deteriorating. Seeing the increasing fear of something untoward happening, the hospital staff referred him to another private hospital in Maholi.
The family alleges that the doctor declared the child dead when taken there. Feeling cheated, the family returned to the hospital late on Friday night with the child’s body and when they started creating ruckus, the hospital operator fled from the spot. After the information, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter.
To avoid legal action, the hospital operator is trying to manage the deceased by putting political pressure on his family members. Inspector Umakant Shukla said that the complaint has not been filed yet by the family of the deceased. On the basis of complaint, a case will be registered and Panchnama will be done and PM will be sent. Further action will be ensured on the basis of PM report.
