Rajnandgaon. The family members have alleged that a three-day-old baby died due to transfusion of blood of another blood group in Rajnandgaon Medical College. The family members allege that this incident happened due to the negligence of the hospital management. The family has demanded action against the guilty staff. College Superintendent Dr. Pradeep Beck has claimed that the medical college investigation report was correct. In the external investigation, the report of another group has been given. Still, he will get the matter investigated. According to the information received, Gauri Nirmalkar, wife of Harish, resident of Gandtola, was admitted to the hospital for delivery on December 24. There was a normal delivery the same day.
It is being told that the delivery took place outside, while the child was pre-mature. Due to being weak, the child was admitted to the medical college. During this time the innocent child was suffering from anemia. Doctors administered blood transfusion stating the need for A-positive blood in the test. Later he needed plasma. Since plasma was not available in the medical college, arrangements were made from outside. The family members got tested at an outside diagnostic center. In which the need for AB-positive blood was stated. Meanwhile, due to lack of plasma the child got infection. The child’s health continued to deteriorate and he could not be saved. Angered by this, the family members have put the hospital management in the dock.
