NEW DELHI: IndiGo, India’s budget airline, has announced three new services to Abu Dhabi. The capital of UAE is home to a large Malayali population. Despite the good news, it should be known that the services are not connected with Kerala. But on the brighter side, the move will surely favour the Malayalees of the Malabar region. Services to Abu Dhabi have been announced from Mangaluru in Karnataka, Coimbatore and Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu.
The service from Mangaluru will start from August 9. This flight will operate every day. This service will surely favour the expatriates of the Kasaragod and Kannur districts.
The service from Tiruchirappalli will start on August 11. There will be four services in a week.
The service from Coimbatore will start on August 10. This service will operate three times a week.
With this, the number of services operated by IndiGo from 13 cities in South India to the Abu Dhabi sector will increase to 89 per week. Global Sales Head Vinay Malhotra announced the news. Earlier, IndiGo had announced six weekly services from Bengaluru to Abu Dhabi. The flight from Bengaluru will start service from August 1.
