Amravati: A 32-year-old youth from Andhra Pradesh is among the four people who died in a firing at a grocery store in Arkansas, America on Friday. The victim from Andhra Pradesh has been identified as Dasari Gopikrishna, a native of Bapatla district. He had gone to America only eight months ago.
He used to work at Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce, a small town in Arkansas. On June 21, a gunman opened fire in the store in which Gopikrishna, who was at the billing counter, suffered serious injuries. He died in the hospital the next day on Saturday. His family living in Yajali of Karlapalem mandal of Bapatla district is in shock after receiving the news. He is survived by his wife and a son.
Four people were killed and nine others were injured in the firing by the gunman inside the store and in the parking lot. Meanwhile, CCTV footage has emerged of the attacker entering the store and opening fire on the man at the counter. As the victim fell to the ground, the gunman jumped across the counter and ran off with something from the shelf.
