Rajnandgaon. The process of immersion of Jyot-Janwara started on Wednesday on the Navami of Chaitra Navratri. Amidst the devotional atmosphere of Jasgeet, the process of immersing the devotees in ponds and lakes by taking water from different areas started. Earlier on Tuesday, on the occasion of Ashtami, the Havan period continued from noon to late night. People participated in the havan with their families. People participated in the havan organized in temples and offered Purnahuti. The devotees performed ritual prayers for the well-being of the family.
The flow of people to temples continued on Wednesday also. After the Havan, the process of immersion of Jyot Janwara started on Wednesday morning. Due to this, a devotional atmosphere has been created due to the sequence of immersion of water in the streets of the reservoirs and ponds of the city to the tune of Jaas song since morning. Along with this, the devotees fasting on Navratri festival ended their fast by reaching the temples in the morning and worshiping the Mother Goddess.
