Imams’ Arrears Will Be Paid Soon: Naidu

Hyderabad: At an Iftar gathering in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu assured the Muslim community that all pending financial dues and honorariums owed to Imams and Muezzins would be cleared shortly. While participating in special prayers, he emphasized that the government is organizing official Iftar feasts in every assembly constituency, a gesture reflecting its commitment to inclusivity.
Naidu highlighted the welfare measures initiated since the coalition government assumed power, underscoring that the upliftment of minorities has always remained a primary focus of the administration. He announced plans to establish an ‘Autonagar’ aimed at generating employment opportunities for minorities—a step taken towards their economic empowerment. Reaffirming his government’s respect for the sentiments of minorities, Naidu pledged to protect Waqf Board properties from encroachment and to ensure that their resources are utilized exclusively for the welfare and development of the Muslim community. His address resonated with both assurances and promises, signaling a renewed emphasis on the welfare and security of the community.
