Illendu Agricultural Market Committee has registered a new milestone in its development. Due to timely payment of market fees by traders and special drives undertaken by the market staff, significant income has been possible this year. The market staff has gone directly to the traders and collected monthly reports and strictly implemented fee collection, which has increased the market income. In particular, there is no market fee for about 1,50,000 quintals of maize purchased through Markfed. However, Illendu market has created a record by collecting market fees of Rs. 4 crore for the second consecutive time.
This level of collection is remarkable on the occasion of the completion of 40 years of the establishment of the market. The ever-growing Illendu Market Committee has collected a total of Rs. 425.26 crore market fee for the financial year 2025-26. This is a testament to the development of the market and the trust between farmers and traders. Officials are hopeful that the steps taken by the Market Committee and transparent policies will contribute to further growth in income in the future.
