Hyundai Venue S Plus South Korean carmaker Hyundai has launched the Venue S+ variant with sunroof in India. The variant is priced at Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch of this model comes after the launch of Venue S(O)+ with electric sunroof, which was launched at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker is introducing these variants as it has observed that buyers are inclined towards the model with sunroof.
Talking about the engine, the new Hyundai Venue S+ variant with sunroof is available only in manual transmission. This variant is powered by a 1.2L Kappa petrol engine that produces 83 PS of maximum power and 114 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a five-speed manual transmission. This new variant gets a digital instrument console with colour TFT multi-info display, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, rear air conditioning vents, 8-inch touch-based infotainment system and more.
In terms of price, the Venue S+ with electric sunroof is more than Rs 64,000 cheaper than the Venue S(O)+ with electric sunroof. In terms of safety, this SUV gets six airbags, TPMS Highline, Electric Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), auto headlights and more. Hyundai Venue is one of the best-selling cars offered by the company in India.
It is expected that the updated version of the Hyundai Venue will be launched in India in 2025. That version will get significant feature updates in the interior as well as the exterior. Hyundai recently launched the Grand i10 Nios with high-CNG duo twin-cylinder technology in India. It is the second car in the Hyundai line-up to get this technology after the Xterra. The car is available in two trims including Magna and Sportz. Both the cars are priced at Rs 7.75 lakh and Rs 8.30 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. The powertrain of the Nios is the familiar 1.2-litre Kappa engine that now makes around 67bhp and 95NM in CNG mode. Both variants get a five-speed manual gearbox only.
