Hyderabad: A 27-year-old software employee died in a tragic road accident on the Hyderabad-Bijapur national highway on Tuesday evening. The accident took place near Mrugavani National Deer Park adjoining Aziz Nagar when the deceased, identified as Siddharth, a resident of Narsingi in Gandipet, was on his way to play cricket at a ground in Moinabad in his car. According to the police, when Siddharth’s car reached Aziz Nagar, another speeding car, which was being driven rashly and recklessly, rammed into his car from behind.
The collision caused Siddharth’s car to break the road divider and collide with a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction towards the Outer Ring Road. Due to the force of the collision, Siddharth’s car was completely shattered, causing him to die on the spot. The accident caused a massive traffic jam on the busy highway. Other motorists who witnessed the incident informed the Narsingi police. Police and rescue teams rushed to the spot. A Narsingi police official said, “We had a tough time removing the bodies from the debris.” Later, the truck was removed with the help of a crane and the bodies of the deceased were shifted to the mortuary.
