Hyderabad: The Uttar Pradesh government in collaboration with the Association of Manufacturers of Medicines and Granules of India (BDMAI) and the Association of Manufacturers of Medicines of India (IDMA), Telangana and Andhra Pradesh chapters organized a conclave on pharmaceuticals here. Thursday.
The conference had participation from over 100 prominent industry leaders, distinguished speakers, government officials, scientists and entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the event, Dr Krishna Ella, CMD, Bharat Biotech, explained how Uttar Pradesh can emerge as an important pharmaceutical hub focusing on clinical trials, intermediates and specialty chemical products.
Dr. Venkat Jasti, Chairman and Executive Director, Suven Life Sciences Limited, analyzed the challenges of the pharmaceutical industry and stressed the importance of infrastructure, including common effluent treatment plants and maintenance of “habitat-free areas” around these projects. ,
