Hyderabad: Huge crowds were seen at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple atop Yadadri on Sunday. With the weekend extended and Monday being a holiday, a large number of devotees turned up to have darshan of the deity. Officials said that usually around 30,000 to 40,000 devotees visit the temple every day, but by Sunday evening, the number of devotees crossed one lakh.
Due to the huge crowd, there was a lot of hustle and bustle of pilgrims at Madaveedhi. People were seen enjoying the cheerful atmosphere and relishing prasad after darshan. While darshan with special entry tickets was taking about three hours, pilgrims queuing up for free darshan had to wait for four hours. However, not only this, but the old Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple located on the slope also witnessed a huge crowd.
