Hyderabad: A man involved in several theft cases including a pair of shoes of a doctor at a private hospital in the city has been arrested by the Punjagutta police. The suspect, Mahesh Kumar (35), a resident of Suryapet district, has been involved in theft and robbery cases in the past. He has been arrested and sent to jail in a few cases. According to information received, Mahesh’s family members warned him to change his behaviour but when he continued with his criminal activities, they were thrown out of the house.
Eventually, he came to the city and started living on footpaths, bus stops and hospital premises and started committing crimes. For the last few days, he was staying at a private hospital in Somajiguda. Recently, he stole the shoes of a doctor working at the hospital. Based on a complaint by the hospital security officer, the Punjagutta police have registered a case and started investigation. On examining the CCTV footage of the spot and around the hospital, the police found Mahesh running away with the shoes. He was identified, traced and arrested. The shoes were recovered and he was sent to judicial custody.
