Hyderabad: A four-year-old girl was attacked with a liquor bottle by a suspect suffering from mental health issues in the city’s suburb Pocharam on Saturday, killing her. The girl, identified as Riya Kumari, was playing on the road near a construction site when the suspect, identified as Hemraj, hit her on the head with a beer bottle.
The girl suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries late night while undergoing treatment. Hemraj was caught by people and handed over to the police after being beaten up. The victim’s parents are construction labourers and had taken the girl along with them to the work site where the incident took place. The attacker was admitted to Gandhi Hospital for treatment by the police after being severely beaten up by people.
