Telangana: In a commendable act of bravery and civic responsibility, two Hyderabad citizens, K. Siva and A. Teja, have emerged as local heroes after they caught a thief red-handed who snatched a gold chain from a young woman.On October 8, 2024, near Sardi Studios, a 20-year-old woman was on her way to work when she became a victim of theft. The attacker, identified as 22-year-old Nithin from Tamil Nadu, violently pulled the chain from her neck, leaving her shaken and distraught.
Seeing the crime in progress, K. Siva and A. Teja immediately sprang into action. Without hesitation, the two men chased the thief, demonstrating remarkable courage and determination. After a relentless chase, they managed to nab Nithin and immediately took him to the Madhura Nagar police station, to ensure that he gets punished for his deed. The Madhura Nagar police immediately registered a case against the thief, who is now behind bars. In recognition of their heroic efforts, Vijay Kumar, DCP, IPS, West Zone, awarded Siva and Teja with a certificate of appreciation for their quick thinking and commitment to community safety.
At the ceremony, Additional DCP Hanumanthu Rao and Madhura Nagar Inspector Srinivas praised the duo for their responsible citizenship. “Their actions exemplify what it means to be a hero in our community,” said DCP Vijay Kumar.
