Hyderabad: A youth has been booked for allegedly trapping and harassing two minor girls, both sisters, in the name of love in Ghatkesar. The incident came to light after one of the girls tried to commit suicide recently. As per the information available, the suspect, Avinash Reddy, befriended a girl on Instagram and proposed love to her and the girl accepted. Eventually, Avinash allegedly started blackmailing the girl and said that he was also interested in her sister.
When the girl asked him about it, he started threatening her by showing her private photos and videos. Avinash Reddy said that he would delete the photos and videos if she brought her sister and gold jewellery from home. Unable to bear further harassment, the minor girl tried to die by committing suicide at home. However, she was rescued by her family members and rushed to a hospital. Based on the complaint by the minor girls’ father, the Ghatkesar police have registered a case and are investigating.
