Telangana: A high alert was sounded at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) after a bomb threat email was received on an IndiGo flight on Thursday morning. The bomb threat message was received when the IndiGo flight was on its way from Coimbatore to Chennai and forced the plane to make an emergency landing at the Hyderabad airport.
The authorities immediately activated the necessary security protocols. All 181 passengers were safely deboarded. Following this, airport security agencies took charge and conducted a thorough search operation in the plane.
After conducting a thorough check, officials said no suspicious object was found on the Chennai-bound flight and it turned out to be a false threat. IndiGo’s services were disrupted due to the false bomb threat. Later, all passengers were asked to reboard the plane. Further investigation is underway.
