Hyderabad: Security personnel went into a tizzy on Monday after an unidentified person sent an email informing about a bomb being planted at the Begumpet airport. The email was received by airport authorities, who in turn informed the local police.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Hyderabad police’s bomb detection team and local police conducted a thorough search of the airport for nearly two hours. It was later declared a rumour. The airport staff was asked to leave the airport till the investigation was over. All protocols were followed, including calling ambulances and fire tenders, after the bomb threat.
