Hyderabad: Humayunnagar Police has arrested seven people allegedly involved in a robbery case registered late Friday night. Police have recovered an iPhone, a gold chain and a knife from them. Those arrested include Ejaz Qureshi, Fardeen Khan, N Prashanth, K Sai, P Rajasekhar, Mohammed Khaleel, G Abhilash Mohan and a juvenile. According to police, the gang gathered at PS Nagar in Humayunnagar on Saturday evening and planned to rob some people to raise money for their liquor party.
“On seeing a group of five people going in a car late night, seven criminals stopped them and threatened them with a knife. They robbed them of two mobile phones and a gold chain before fleeing,” said DCP (South-West). Police registered a case and arrested them. Meanwhile, chaos broke out during the press conference organised to announce the arrests when one of the suspects Fardeen alleged that a fight broke out between him and the complainant Srimath Kumar when he asked for ganja. However, the police dragged the suspects out of the hall. Fardeen Khan was previously involved in 17 cases.
