Husband forces wife to commit suicide, arrested

Keeping in mind the seriousness of the case, under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police West Daulat Ram Porte, City Superintendent of Police Purani Basti Rajesh Dewangan, Police Station Incharge Tikrapara Inspector Durgesh Raote directed Sub Inspector Pawan Patwa from the police station to continuously investigate the case.

Taking the matter seriously, the investigator started the investigation in which it was found that the deceased had slapped her child over some issue and on the same issue, the accused husband had an argument with his newly married wife and beat her and his brother-in-law. The accused was talking to his wife about leaving her maternal home, which the deceased overheard and being motivated to commit suicide, she climbed on the roof of the newly constructed house and committed suicide by going down from there, after which crime number 199/2024, section 306 of the Indian Penal Code was registered and the deceased was found dead. The married woman’s husband Mukesh Nishad, father Vishwanath Nishad, age 23 years, resident of Kohka police station, Tilda Nevra district, Raipur Chhattisgarh, has been arrested and sent on remand.
