Raipur. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has claimed that within the coming two-three years he will make Chhattisgarh completely Naxal-free. Senior state Congress leader and former Home Affairs Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu has raised questions on this claim of the Union Home Minister. He claimed that when Chhattisgarh could not become free from Naxalites in 15 years of rule, then how is this possible in three years?
Former Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu said that the government does not have any concrete strategy to deal with Naxalism. This is the reason why the government sometimes talks about encounter and sometimes discussion. Sahu also rejected BJP’s allegations that Congress has ever protected Naxalism.
In fact, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had praised the Sai government for the Naxal operation in Chhattisgarh. Praising the state government regarding the Naxal operation, Home Minister Amit Shah had said that after the coming of the BJP government in 5 months, 112 Naxalites have been killed. Fifty-four hundred Naxalites surrendered and 153 Naxalites have been arrested.
