Mungeli: To ensure the quality of healthcare services and compliance with legal provisions in the district, the district administration has taken strict action and sealed Garg Super Specialty Hospital. This action was taken after violations of the Nursing Home Act and the absence of a doctor were found.
On the instructions of Collector Kundan Kumar, a joint team consisting of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Sheela Saha, Nodal Officer for the Nursing Home Act Dr. Kamlesh Kumar, and Naib Tehsildar Harish Yadav conducted a surprise inspection of Garg Hospital under the Chhattisgarh State Nursing Home Medical Establishments Licensing Rules 2013. The Chief Medical and Health Officer stated that during the inspection, the doctor on duty was found absent. The hospital was being operated in the absence of a doctor, a clear violation of the provisions of the Nursing Home Act.
He added that a previous inspection of the hospital had also been conducted on January 16th. The doctor was also found absent at that time, and a notice was issued to the concerned institution. Despite this, the administration took strict action and sealed the hospital after failing to improve. The CMHO stated that all private hospitals and nursing homes operating in the district must comply with the established regulations. There will be no compromise on patient safety and quality treatment. Strict action will continue in the event of violations.
