Hoshiarpur: Two died in road accidents

Hoshiarpur: Two people died in road accidents in the district in the last 24 hours. Police have registered a case and filed a case against two people. According to the information, a person died after being hit by a bike near Tanauli village. The deceased has been identified as Gurjit Singh, a resident of village Mona. The accused Om Kumar is a resident of Pali of SBS Nagar. Similarly, Amarjit Singh, resident of Jalalpur told the police that he was going towards Begowal on a bike with Jagir Ram. A car hit the bike. Jagir died, while he was injured. A case has been registered against Johnny, a resident of Butranv, Jalandhar.

Thieves stole jewelry

Phagwara: A theft took place in the house of Makhan Singh, a resident of village Chiheru near Phagwara on Thursday night. Villager arrested for extortion
Phagwara: Police have arrested another villager from Tarn Taran on charges of extortion and criminal intimidation. The accused has been identified as Karanbir Singh of Munda village under Tarn Taran Sadar police station. Love Preet Singh of Yusufpur Dare Wal village had complained to police that the accused and his accomplice called him twice on July 10, demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh and fired shots at his house. A case has been registered.
Man arrested for rash driving
PHAGWARA: Police have arrested a vendor for rash driving and creating nuisance. The accused has been identified as Amanpreet Singh, resident of Kotla Suraj Mall. Jang Sher Singh, resident of village Dhando Wal had complained to police that the accused was driving at a very high speed and hit him. A case has been registered.
Two Fazilka residents arrested for theft
PHAGWARA: Nakodar police have arrested two Fazilka residents for stealing household items from a house. The accused have been identified as Ajay Kumar, resident of Savian Road and Ram, resident of Fazilka. Paramjit Singh, resident of Bhalla Enclave, Nakodar had complained to police that on July 27, the accused broke into his house and stole inverter with battery, tractor battery, tap from bathroom, LCD and other items.
