Additional Tracks on 6 Rail Routes in Tamil Nadu: Final Inspection Approved

Tamil Nadu: The Railway Board has granted permission to conduct a final study for the construction of additional railway tracks on six routes in Tamil Nadu.
The Railway Board has authorized a final study for the construction of Tracks 5 and 6 on the ChennaiāArakkonam, ArakkonamāRenigunta, and ChennaiāKudur routes in Tamil Nadu; Tracks 3 and 4 on the VillupuramāTrichyāTirunelveliāNagercoil route; Track 2 on the TrichyāKaraikudiāManamaduraiāMadurai route; and Track 2 on the PodanurāPollachiāPalakkad route. Furthermore, the Railway Board has also issued a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) for the construction of an elevated swing bridge at ‘G Corner’ in Trichy. With this development, a 16-year-old demand of the people of Trichy has finally been fulfilled.
Reacting to this, MDMK MP Durai Vaiko stated that he had been working towards the construction of this bridge for the past year and a half, and he expressed his gratitude to the Central Government.
