Janjgir Champa. There was a massive collision between a car and a Bolero vehicle on the Bilaspur main road in Vyas Nagar of the district. A woman has died in the accident. While 2 women and 5 men have been seriously injured, who have been referred to Bilaspur for treatment. The incident took place in Pamgarh police station area. Injured Ram Bai Sahu told that 11 people including 7 women, 2 men and 2 children from the same family of Mudpar village of Sarangarh district had gone on a Bolero to visit Ratnapur Maa Mahamaya Temple Devi. After having darshan from the Devi temple, everyone was coming to Shivrinarayan to visit the temple. Meanwhile, three drunk car riders hit the Bolero.
All three are residents of Bilaspur district and are car mechanics. They were taking the car of a person named Rajiv Gandhi in Pamgarh to Bilaspur for servicing. All three occupants of the car were drunk. Liquor bottles were also found in the vehicle. The passersby informed the police about the incident. Police reached the spot and with the help of passers-by, they were admitted to Pamgarh Community Health Center for treatment, in which two men, Prahlad, Nitesh and two women, Garima and Subhadra, who were traveling in the Bolero, were seriously injured. The seven occupants of the car, Mahendra, 35, Sayub Khan, 34, and Mukesh, 24, were seriously injured and have been referred to Bilaspur. A woman Shanti Sahu, aged about 32 years, has died. Pamgarh Police has taken both the vehicles into its custody and kept them in the police station.
