Honeywell India inaugurates ‘Leaders in Tech’ event

Bengaluru Bengaluru: Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) today held its flagship event ‘Leaders in Tech’ at its Bengaluru campus, bringing together over 200 inspiring women professionals from across the technology industry. This landmark event brought together innovators, thinkers, and changemakers to highlight the power of women-led breakthroughs in technology and foster a future where women are leading the way in innovation. The full-day event fostered industry-wide discussions on breaking down barriers, creating opportunities for women to not only participate but also play a leading role in driving the change that shapes the future of technology.

Anant Maheshwari, President and CEO, Global Region, Honeywell, in his keynote address emphasised the importance of diverse voices in shaping the future of technology. He highlighted that women in tech are not only contributing to current advancements but are also playing a vital role in driving innovations that define the next era. Anant Maheshwari called for greater empowerment of women to lead and emphasised the role of initiatives like ‘Leaders in Tech’ in providing a platform for women to shape the future of technology.

The event included a fireside chat with Ashish Modi, President, Honeywell India and Niranjan Kalyandurg, President, Honeywell Technology Solutions. They highlighted the role of male collaboration in fostering an inclusive workplace and the importance of sponsorship in advancing women’s careers. The leaders also addressed gender biases and highlighted the need for training to reduce unconscious blind spots, concluding by calling on women to be bold, assertive and actively shape the future of technology.

The highlight of the day was a high-profile panel discussion titled “Breaking Barriers in Tech: Stories of Resilience and Innovation” with Sumedha Limaye, Vice President, Engineering at Quest Global. The discussion highlighted how women are challenging the status quo in tech and reshaping the tech landscape with bold, visionary approaches. Inspiring talks were given by Vandana Suri, Founder of TAXSHE, India’s taxi service for women, and former Olympic swimmer Nisha Millet, who shared their journeys of perseverance and success.
