Home Guards’ services are invaluable: SP Narasimha

Suryapet District SP K. Narasimha said that the services of Home Guards are invaluable in maintaining peace and security. He participated as the chief guest in the Home Guard Officers’ Parade organized at the Suryapet District Police Office on Saturday on the occasion of the 63rd Home Guard Formation Day. He praised that Home Guard Officers are performing their duties on par with fully trained police personnel in many cases. He said that Home Guard Officers are at the forefront in performing their duties as CCTNS and writers in technical terms. He said that they work hard during natural disasters and floods. He said that the district police department is working round the clock for the welfare of Home Guard Officers. As part of this, he said that financial assistance is being provided from the Home Guard Welfare Fund to everyone who applies for their children’s education and health expenses.

He said that the Home Guard children who showed the best performance in Intermediate will be given an incentive of Rs. 18 thousand as the first prize, Rs. 15 thousand as the second prize, and Rs. 12 thousand as the third prize. Similarly, those who show the best performance in Class X will be given Rs. 15 thousand as the first prize, Rs. 10 thousand as the second prize, and Rs. 8 thousand as the third prize. On this occasion, he congratulated the Home Guard officers who showed the best performance in their duties by presenting them with certificates of appreciation. Saplings were planted at the District Police Office along with the Home Guard officers. Armud Additional SP Janardhan Reddy, Special Branch Inspector Rama Rao, Suryapet Town Inspector Venkataiah, Traffic SI Sairam, Home Guard In-charge RSI Ashok, other RSIs Suresh, Sairam, Rajasekhar, AR SI Venkanna participated in this program.
