Himachal: Visited Sartyola villages to meet the needs of basic amenities

Himachal Pradesh: A district level committee constituted as per the High Court’s direction visited remote villages Manju and Magan falling under Sartyola Panchayat of Karsog Sub-Division of Mandi district yesterday. The committee constituted under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Rohit Rathore was accompanied by senior officials of various departments who reviewed the basic amenities in the area. The committee members travelled about 15 kms for 4 hours to reach Magan via villages like Manju Jacqueline. During this, they interacted with the residents of the area and heard their concerns related to electricity, water, road access and education.

Villagers of Sartyola raised issues related to water supply, road condition and need for regular bus service for school children in the morning and evening hours. Residents of Magan raised electricity and road related problems and especially requested for solution to the problem of low voltage. The ADC assured the villagers that their problems would be resolved soon. He also inspected the government primary school at Manju. After this, the committee continued to visit the area under Parlog Panchayat and took feedback from the people. The team included Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gaurav Mahajan, Tehsildar Varun Gulati, Churag BDO Ravikant, Karsog BDO Narendra Kumar, District Panchayat Officer Anchit Dogra and other departmental officials. Local Panchayat Pradhan Tilak Chauhan (Sartyoula) and Gayatri Devi (Parlog) were also present during the review.
