Himachal Pradesh: Professor Mamta Mokta, Chairperson, Department of Public Administration at Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla has been conferred the V Bhaskar Rao Lifetime Achievement Award, 2025 by the New Public Administration Society of India (NEPASI). The award recognises her as a role model in the field of public administration and for her significant contribution to the development of the discipline.
Professor Mokta was presented the award during a national seminar organised by the Department of Public Administration at Kurukshetra University in collaboration with NEPASI, Advancing Public Administration in South Asia and Public Administration Association of Nepal. Professor Mokta, a gold medallist in public administration, has an impressive teaching experience of 33 years. She has authored and edited seven books, written 16 activity reports and published over 83 articles in various national and international journals. Additionally, she has presented over 100 papers in national and international seminars and delivered keynote addresses at numerous events.
