Himachal Pradesh: Petition Committee has been constituted in Himachal Pradesh Assembly after a gap of 28 years. The chairman of this committee will be Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania. He told that earlier this committee was also there in the sixth and seventh assembly, but after that it was not constituted. Members of both the ruling party and the opposition have been included in this committee. These members include Una MLA Satpal Singh Satti, Pachhad MLA Reena Kashyap, Dharampur MLA Chandrashekhar and Lahaul-Spiti MLA Anuradha Rana. Assembly Secretary Yashpal Sharma will be the office bearer of the committee.
Chairman Pathania told that the formation of the committee will provide great relief to the common people, who are forced to knock the doors of the court for the resolution of their public interest matters. Now they will be able to get quick justice without spending money through the Assembly Petition Committee. The poor have to wander from door to door to get justice in administrative matters. Now they will be able to get quick justice from the Petition Committee. The Assembly Speaker said that the objective of the committee is to provide justice to the common people by settling the pending administrative matters on time. This will benefit the common citizens and they will get justice.
