Himachal Pradesh: Nine personnel of Himachal Pradesh (HP) police have been selected for the prestigious cyber commando training programme to be organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C). The selected policemen include Ashish Kumar, Akash Thakur, Madhav Sharma, Praveen Sharma, Ram Sharma, Rohit Guleria, Shashank Tanwar and Shubham Chauhan.
The six-month residential training programme will be conducted at premier institutes including Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, National Defence University and National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Delhi and Gandhinagar. DIG of Cyber Crime Mohit Chawla said, “The training focuses on equipping the officers with the required skills in system forensics, cyber crime detection and prevention techniques. As cyber threats are constantly evolving, this initiative will enhance our capabilities to protect infrastructure and sensitive data.”
