Himachal Pradesh: Road safety awareness campaign started recently at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University Palampur. Vice Chancellor Naveen Kumar said that the campaign has been started to make students and staff aware of the importance of road safety. Under the campaign, students and staff will be made aware about ensuring road safety while driving. In this regard, Road Safety Awareness Nodal Officer Aditya Awasthi said that vehicles entering the institute from Gate No. 1 were checked from 9.30 am to 10.30 am. During this, drivers of four dozen vehicles were made aware about wearing seat belts, helmets and driving carefully. He said that under the campaign, banners and boards related to road safety will be installed at various places in the university. On this occasion, National Service Scheme (NSS) Program Officer Dr. Anjana Thakur, University Security Branch Officer Dr. Aruna Rana and Program Officer Pramod Verma were present.
