Himachal Pradesh: A truck driver died today near Lamblu village of the district when his vehicle fell into a deep gorge. The deceased has been identified as Ajmer Singh, a resident of Ponta village near Sarkaghat in Mandi district. It is being told that the truck loaded with bricks rolled backwards from a sloping portion of the road near Shanidev temple. The truck driver could not control the truck and the truck fell into the gorge. Eyewitnesses said that the driver tried to jump from the truck, but he could not succeed. Locals pulled him out of the gorge and rushed him to the Government Medical College here, but he died. ASP Rajesh Kumar said that a case has been registered and the body will be handed over to the family after post-mortem.
