Himachal: 18 lakh people became members of BJP

Himachal Pradesh: Rajeev Bindal today chaired training seminars for active party workers in Haroli and Una assembly constituencies. Addressing reporters before the meetings, Bindal said assembly constituency-wise meetings of active party workers are being held to familiarise them with party policies and programmes. He said 18 lakh nominal members and 27,000 active workers were registered during the new membership drive in the state a few months ago. He said the focus of the party organisation is to ensure that active members are well versed with the history and evolution of the BJP as well as the vision and achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the nation’s development and public welfare works.

Bindal said the party organisation has been expanded from 68 mandals to 174 mandals, which coincide with the assembly constituencies. He said the aim is to increase the reach of party activities at the grassroots level, thereby facilitating the implementation of government schemes. He said that BJP Foundation Week is being celebrated from 6 to 13 April and training seminars are being organised for active workers in all assembly constituencies. He said that at the end of the meetings, BJP workers take an oath to contribute in implementing the party’s vision, policies and programmes.
