Highway drivers took full advantage of the health camp organized on NH

Raigarh. Under the National Road Safety Month, a special initiative was taken in Raigarh district regarding road safety and traffic awareness. Under the guidance of SP Divyang Patel and Additional SP Akash Markam and Traffic DSP Uttam Pratap Singh, Raigarh Traffic Police organized an eye and health test camp for drivers on NH-49 located in village Jorapali. In this program, Health Department Raigarh, reputed institutions OP Fortis Jindal Hospital, Sanjeevani Hospital, Siddheshwar Hospital, Rotary Club of Raigarh Greater, Titan One Plus and NSS volunteers provided support.

The main objective of the camp was to make heavy vehicle drivers aware of road safety and ensure regular health checkup of their health. More than 374 drivers participated in the camp. During this, drivers were given information about health test, eye test, and traffic rules.

Blood pressure, general health and eye checkup of all the drivers were done. Drivers who were found to need glasses were distributed free glasses by the Rotary Club. After the test, medicines and necessary health related advice were given to the needy drivers. Additional SP Akash Markam, Traffic DSP Uttam Pratap Singh and TI Anuranjan Lakra guided the drivers on the importance of following traffic rules and being cautious on the road.

This event not only provided the drivers the benefit of their health and eye test but also made them aware of the importance of road safety. This initiative is a special effort towards safe traffic system and reduction in road accidents in Raigarh district. The aim of such events during the National Road Safety Month is to motivate all citizens to drive responsibly and cautiously on the road.
