Mohali. The havoc of high speed was seen on Saturday night near Industrial Area Phase-8 on Airport Road, Mohali. An uncontrolled Mercedes car rammed into a roadside shop. In this incident a young man sleeping in the shop died. The car did not stop here. It broke the shop and also hit the wall of the school located behind it. Due to this collision, the wall of the school broke, and the air bags of the car also opened. It was night time, so there was no one at the spot. Taking advantage of this, the car riders fled from there.
On getting information about the accident, when the police came to seize the car in the morning, people created an uproar. Police had arrived with a crane to lift the car. People pelted stones at the crane and forced it to return. People had a lot of arguments with the police. People demanded that the police first arrest the culprits. After that the train will leave from here. After receiving the information, the police of Industrial Area Phase-8 outpost reached the spot. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Prakash Kumar (35), resident of Bihar. He used to run a tea-parantha shop here. This accident happened at around 2.15 am. At that time Prakash was sleeping in the shop.
Police said that he was hit by an uncontrolled car when it entered his shop. The speed of the car was high, so it also broke the wall of the adjacent school. This school belongs to comedian Jaspal Bhatti. After this, the passengers left the car and ran away from the spot and Prakash remained trapped.
