Heavy snowfall on North Portal of Atal Tunnel, Kullu due to continuous snowfall

Kullu. Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti districts of the state have been hit by cold wave due to heavy snowfall. Continuous heavy snowfall and rain continues here. All the tourist places of tourist city Manali are covered in snow. At the same time, Manali has also covered itself with a white blanket of snow. Due to snowfall, the movement of vehicles has come to a halt. In case of emergency, help of four by four vehicles is being taken.

For all other types of vehicles, the local roads of Manali as well as Manali-Leh NH-3 are closed for vehicular movement. Districts Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti received heavy snowfall within 14 hours. Talking about Keylong, the headquarters of Lahaul-Spiti, there has been 12 inches of fresh snowfall here.

There has been three inches of fresh snowfall in Kaza, 16 inches in Udaipur, one foot in Tindi, one foot on road in Sissu. Including the previous snowfall, there is more than four feet of snow here. There was three feet of fresh snowfall near the South Portal Dhundi of Atal Tunnel from Sunday night to 11 pm on Monday, whereas from Saturday to Sunday evening itself, there was five feet snowfall in this area.
