THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A holiday has been declared for educational institutions in three districts in Kerala tomorrow in the wake of heavy rains lashing the state. Collectors have declared a holiday in Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts. However, the holiday does not apply to colleges in Kasargod. The Collectors also said that there will be no changes in the pre-scheduled examinations.
In Kasargod, the holiday has been declared as a precautionary measure after the heavy rains caused waterlogging in various parts of the district in the last 24 hours. District Collector K Inbasekar has announced a holiday for state, CBSE, ICSE, schools, central schools, Anganwadis, madrasas etc. in the district. However, colleges in the district will function tomorrow.In Kannur, the holiday is applicable to Anganwadis, ICSE, CBSE schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, madrasas and tuition centres. The District Collector said that there will not be any change in the public exams and university exams scheduled earlier.
