A hearing was held in Bilaspur High Court on the suspicious death in Loharidih of the district. A petition has been filed by the daughter of the deceased Shivprasad Sahu demanding a second post-mortem. On this, the division bench of the Chief Justice has advised the petitioner to register a case in the jurisdiction of Madhya Pradesh.
Shivprasad Sahu has five children. Last Friday, his family members met the Chief Justice and came to plead for justice. At that time, they were given legal advice and advised to file a petition through proper procedure.
It is worth noting that the body of farmer Shivprasad Sahu in Loharidih village was found hanging from a noose on the border of Madhya Pradesh under suspicious circumstances, after which violent incidents took place in the village on September 15. During this incident, a BJP leader also died due to a fire in a house. The villagers’ anger also erupted on the police and the policemen were attacked. A youth also died due to beating by the police.
