Hearing for Chandor railway agitation case on June 7

The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Margao heard arguments on the application moved by activists in the 2020 Chandor rail roko agitation case recently, and posted the matter for further hearing on June 7.

Some of the activists charged by the Maina-Curtorim police told reporters that they have been falsely implicated in the case and expressed confidence that the truth will finally prevail.

Abhijit Prabhudesai, co-convenor of Goyant Kollso Naka and one of the accused, are among the activists who have filed for discharge in the case. The activists are charged with causing wrongful restraint at the Chandor road crossing.
