Shimla. Health Minister Colonel Dhaniram Shandil has ordered the ambulance service provider company to strictly follow the prescribed rules. He said that it is necessary to arrange for life-saving equipment in the ambulance. The health department will check the oxygen cylinder in the ambulance in the coming days.
If the cylinders are found empty, the service provider company will be held guilty for the same. He said that the Health Department will take strict action in this direction. The Health Minister was chairing a meeting on the operation and maintenance of 102 and 108 ambulance services on Friday. He said that the health department will check the quality of the ambulance service provider company.
If any flaw in quality is found, major action will be taken against the company. Health Minister Colonel Dhaniram Shandil has made it clear that negligence in ambulance service will not be tolerated in any form. He directed the ambulance service provider to improve its services. He said complaints have been received from the public that the company is not running ambulances as per the norms.
On this occasion, Secretary Health M. Sudha Devi, Mission Director of National Health Mission Priyanka Verma, Director Health Services Dr. Gopal Beri, Deputy Director Directorate Health Services, Ankita Verma and stakeholders of the company were present in the meeting.
