Haryana: Annual sports competition organized

Kaithal: RKSD College, Kaithal organised its 66th annual sports meet at the college playground recently. The event was inaugurated by principal Sanjay Goyal. Various track and field events- 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1,500m, 5,000m and 10,000m races, long jump, high jump and shot put- were held during the competition. Simran was declared the best athlete among girls, while Monu was declared the best athlete among boys. Kaithal Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kalia, chief guest of the event, college president Ashwani Shorewala and other management members were present at the closing ceremony of the meet. The principal presented the annual sports report and highlighted the achievements of the college alumni.
Placement drive organised
Mahendragarh: The Department of Management Studies led by Vice Chancellor Tankeshwar Kumar of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh organised a placement drive recently. The Vice Chancellor said that the real development of higher education is reflected in the professional achievements of the university students. He said that CUH has been constantly striving to enhance placement opportunities. During the campaign, Edustation provided final placement opportunities to eight MBA students. The Vice Chancellor said that in line with the National Education Policy-2020 (NEP-2020), summer internships have played a vital role in the university curriculum, helping students gain valuable experience in the industry. This year, Agile Capital Services has selected 13 students, Zealhawk Company has offered internships to 12 students, and Tenhard India has engaged 5 students. The Vice Chancellor said that these opportunities will enhance the learning experience of students and bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional competencies.

Experts discuss development and Vedas

Kurukshetra: Kurukshetra University Vice Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva has said that curiosity, reasoning, creativity and innovation are the foundation of a developed India. He said that the concepts of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan, Environmental Protection and Inclusive Society are very important for a developed nation. He was addressing the gathering during the three-day national seminar ‘Concept of Developed Nation in the Present Environment’ organized under the joint aegis of Sanskrit Pali Prakrit Department and Sanskrit and Oriental Studies Institute of KU. Sachdeva said that India is the fifth largest economy in the world. India has touched new heights in the field of IT, space and science, highlighting the achievements of the country especially with digital payment system. Dr. Satyapal Singh, Vice Chancellor of Gurukul Kangri University and former Union Minister of State for Education, who was the chief guest at the program, said that the concept of developed nation is rooted in the Vedas. He said that Vedas are the core of our culture and real development is not possible without knowing oneself. He said that Vedic knowledge develops the body, mind and intellect as well as the soul. He said that the knowledge of spirituality and materialism is clearly present in the Vedas. Dr. Singh said that the path to realizing the dream of a developed India by 2047 is found in the Vedas only. Professor Man Singh said that there is a need to adopt the internal development propounded by the Vedas, only then the dream of a developed India can be realized. He said that in the Vedas, emphasis has been laid on internal development along with external development. On this occasion, the book written by Dr. Kamdev Jha was released by the dignitaries present.
