Former Minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao inspected the construction work of the super specialty hospital being built in Warangal along with other BRS leaders. After inspecting the progress of the hospital work, Harish Rao strongly criticized the negligence of the Congress government.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, Harish Rao said that it is painful to see this super specialty hospital, the 24-storey slabs of which were completed during the BRS regime. It was supposed to start by Dussehra 2024. If KCR had been there, it would have been available to the public by now.
But after the Congress came, the work stalled, and even after two Dussehras, the third Dussehra is coming, but it is not moving. Revanth Reddy’s attention is on Future City, real estate business, and contractors. Not on this Health City built by KCR. Even if 10 percent of the attention given to Future City was given, these works would have been completed by now. When KCR decided to build a dharamshala for the relatives of the patients, the Congress government reduced it by half. They reduced the road network and elevation works. This negligence is due to the concern that KCR will get a good name. The BRS government itself provided the funds required for this Health City.
Why this hospital for OPD?
But you are not seeing the opening of the hospital because you have not taken decisions in the name of design changes. They are saying that the hospital will be opened on June 2. This 2000-bed hospital needs 2000 nurses, 1500 doctors and 1000 paramedical staff. Has the cabinet approved the recruitment so far? Has a notification been issued? How can a hospital be opened without at least staff? If you look at the papers, it is written that ‘OP services’ will be started. Is this a super specialty hospital? Or a basti hospital? Why this hospital for OP? He questioned. During the BRS regime, we set up basti hospitals in the Galligally of Warangal. Don’t make this another basti hospital. Immediately complete the appointment of equipment and staff and open the hospital in its entirety.
Otherwise, we will go on a hunger strike here on behalf of BRS. Harish Rao said that the health department situation in Warangal, which is like Sanjeevani for North Telangana, has become pathetic. Do Warangal ministers and MLAs really have any say? Newspaper reporters are tired of writing news after seeing the situation at MGM. Has Revanth Reddy visited Warangal many times but seen MGM even once? Harish Rao questioned.
Has the Health Minister gone that way in two and a half years? MGM has now become a home for rats and porcupines. There are no wheelchairs, stretchers, beds. There is no material for tests. During the BRS regime, we performed 250 heart surgeries free of cost at MGM. But now the theaters have been closed because the ACs in the operation theaters are leaking. Patients are being sent to Hyderabad. They said that if we set up cath labs and three oxygen plants and put them in your hands, you would not even have the capacity to run them.
