Hamas’s response to Israel on the ceasefire proposal in Gaza

Jerusalem: Hamas has sent its reply to Israel on the new proposal for ceasefire in Gaza. Xinhua news agency quoted an Israeli official as saying that Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, who is mediating the case, on Thursday submitted Hamas’s written reply to David Barnia, the head of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said it expected to convene a meeting of the wartime cabinet on Friday to discuss the proposal. Hamas confirmed in a statement that it had presented a “comprehensive approach” in its response. This includes a ceasefire and the release of hostages in Gaza.
