New Delhi. A partially burnt body of an unidentified man, aged around 25, was found in northeast Delhi on Wednesday. An officer gave this information. According to the police, Welcome Police Station had received information about the body of an unidentified male lying in Lake Park.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) Joy Tirkey said, “A partially burnt body of a youth was found under a tree at a corner of Lake Park towards Subhash Park Extension. A huge pile of dry leaves and branches and bushes, most of which were burnt, was found at the spot.”
He said that the face, back and right hand of the deceased were burnt. “There were no other injury marks on the body,” the DCP said. The body has been sent to GTB mortuary for examination. “Further details will be revealed once the cause of death is known during the post-mortem investigation and efforts are being made to identify the deceased,” the DCP said.
