Dalli Rajhara. An unknown youth was found alive in a burnt condition near the Kilewadi Maa temple yesterday morning. He died after some time. He was identified as Vinod Gupta. Assistant Sub Inspector Dev Kumar Koram of Mahamaya police station said that yesterday morning a person from a private hospital in Rajnandgaon who had come to visit the temple called the police administration and 102 and informed that an unknown person was found alive in a burnt condition in a small room located on the western side of the Kilewadi Mata temple. The police administration went and inspected the place, till then the person was being brought down by the health department. According to the information, the priest Girvar Mandavi and his father go to this temple to worship every day at 7 am and 6 pm. The priest of the temple Girvar Mandavi said that he was coming down after worshiping at around 7.30 pm, at that time the above mentioned person was climbing up alone with a carry bag and a bottle in his hand. He did not pay attention and thought that people always come to the temple for worship and darshan. Similarly, this person must have also come to worship and came down.
When the person who had called from Nandgaon went up and saw, the person was burnt and he was alive, an empty water bottle was lying there from which the smell of petrol was coming, on asking him, he told his address near Asha Talkies of Dalli Rajhara. On coming down, a Ranger cycle of red and yellow color was found. Investigation was being done by Mahamaya Police Administration and Dalli Rajhara. Yesterday evening, information was received that the deceased person Vinod Gupta (Babu) age about 17 years, father Manoj Gupta, Ward No. 4, Tablersit, in front of Asha Talkies, behind Purana Chitra Mandir, is a resident of Dalli Rajhara. According to the information, Babu was very simple natured, sociable and promising. He was a student of Commerce stream in 12th class in Guru Nanak High School. He used to behave well with his elders and wanted to join the administrative service after completing his higher education. He used to go to the ground in the morning to run in preparation for military recruitment. The boy was of a very promising nature. Due to poverty, Ankit used to work as a helper in a samosa shop in front of the book depot, from which he used to earn some money. In this way, a promising innocent boy committing suicide at such a young age and that too by taking petrol about 15-20 km away from his house is a matter of investigation in many cases. Only after police investigation, it will be known that due to which pressure and trouble Babu took such a dangerous step like suicide.
